21 GRAMS (15): An absorbing and powerful drama about life and death which sees a freak accident bring together a grieving mother, a critically-ill man and a born-again ex-con.

ALONG CAME POLLY (12A): Jennifer Aniston stars as a ditzy woman who turns the life of an uptight risk assessor upside down in this romantic comedy.

BROTHER BEAR (U): Environmentally-friendly Disney animation about a boy who is turned into a bear by the spirits to teach him a lesson about love.

CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN (PG): Steve Martin stars as the father who is left in charge of his 12 children when his wife departs on a promotional book tour. Comic antics ensue as he struggles to cope alone.

COLD MOUNTAIN (15): Epic movie, starring Nicole Kidmann, about love, devotion and endurance against the odds, set amid the bloody and brutal turmoil of the American Civil War.

THE HAUNTED MANSION (PG): Another Disney yarn based on one of its popular theme park attractions, this spooky offering stars Eddie Murphy as an estate agent who decides to view a mysterious old house.

HONEY(12A): A dance teacher who gets a big break and becomes a music video choreographer realises she's lost touch with what she really loves.

THE LAST SAMURAI (15): Tom Cruise is the hero in this epic adventure about an American Civil War veteran who is captured in a battle by a Samurai leader who causes him to rethink his philosophy on life.

LOONEY TUNES: BACK IN ACTION (PG): Some well-known Looney Tunes characters, including Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Porky Pig, come together for this family adventure blending live action and animation.

THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RETURN OF THE KING (12A): Final instalment in the box office smash trilogy of Tolkien adaptations.

LOST IN TRANSLATION (15): An American actor who is in Japan to shoot a beer commercial forms an unlikely bond with the neglected wife of a photographer who is staying in the same hotel.

THE MISSING (15): Set in 19th century New Mexico, a woman is forced to turn to her estranged father for help when her daughter is kidnapped.

MONA LISA SMILE (12A): Julia Roberts leads a stellar cast in this Dead Poets' Society for girls. A progressive art teacher shakes up a stuffy private school in 50s America.

MYSTIC RIVER (15): Three men who were childhood friends are reunited after one loses a daughter but for very different reasons.

PETER PAN (PG): One magical, winter's night, Wendy meets Peter Pan, who invites her on a magical adventure in far-off Neverland.

SCHOOL OF ROCK (PG): Jack Black stars as an unemployed rocker who takes on his flatmate's identity to become a teacher. He introduces his impressionable young charges to the ways of rock and even enters them into a battle of the bands contest.

SOMETHING'S GOTTA GIVE (12A): Middle-aged commitment-phobic Harry Sanborn only ever dates young attractive women - until he has a heart attack. Convalescing at a beach house he discovers a growing attraction to a woman his own age.

TOOTH (U): Tooth (Yasmin Paige) is a mischievous Tooth Fairy whose world is now devoid of magic and mystery. Bored by routine, she foolishly decides to give away all of the fairies' money to two young children.

TORQUE (15): A biker is framed for the murder of a gang member who happens to be the brother of an the leader of the most feared biker gang in the country.

UPTOWN GIRLS (12A): A New York socialite who falls on hard times when her manager steals her money becomes a nanny to a precocious child.
