No Amport answer to Shoebridge

Amport v Petersfield Black Swan-sponsored Amport must have felt the longest day had arrived two days early as they spent most of the afternoon picking the ball out of the woods as Petersfield's Brendan Shoebridge went on run spree amassing an incredible 219.

The Aussie star truly paid back his club sponsors' outlays by helping Petersfield to a 119-run victory.

Once again Amport lost the toss and were asked to take to the field one man down after the unfortunate late withdrawal of Mark Derbyshire.

Coupled with a heavily depleted bowling attack Amport's chances of keeping the run rate down were always going to be slim.
